Acceptable Use Policy
Effective Date: 2026-09-25 Last Updated: 2026-10-10
What you may not do with Legalyard AI, what happens when the rules are broken, and how to report abuse.
1. Who this applies to
This policy is part of the Terms of Service between you and Innvoq Labs LLP ("Legalyard", "we", "our", or "us") and applies to everyone who uses Legalyard AI (the "Service"). Section 8 of the Terms sets out the same rules in full; this page restates them in plain language.
2. What is not allowed
Content we refuse
Our automated screening refuses requests, and we will act on accounts, in these categories:
- Sexual content involving minors, or anything that sexualises a minor. We report this to the relevant authorities.
- Hate speech: content that attacks or demeans people because of a protected characteristic.
- Violence: threats, incitement, or instructions for harming people.
- Attempts to make the assistant ignore, reveal, or rewrite its instructions, or to impersonate a different system. We flag these; repeated attempts lead to suspension.
Misuse of the Service
- Presenting an answer from the Service as advice from a licensed lawyer, accountant, or other professional, or holding yourself out as one when you are not.
- Filing anything the Service produced with a court, regulator, or counterparty without having a qualified professional review it.
- Creating documents intended to deceive: fake evidence, sham contracts, invented citations, or material impersonating a real person, official, or organisation.
- Uploading content you have no right to share: another person's confidential or privileged material, or personal data you are not permitted to process.
Abuse of the platform
- Scraping, crawling, or bulk-downloading the Service or its answers, or accessing it by any automated means we have not authorised in writing.
- Sharing your account, or creating multiple accounts to get around credit limits, rate limits, or a suspension.
- Circumventing credit accounting, rate limits, safety screening, or any other technical control.
- Probing, scanning, or stress-testing the Service outside our vulnerability-disclosure programme, or introducing malicious code.
- Using the Service to build or benchmark a competing AI product without our written consent.
Sanctions and export control
You may not use the Service if you are in, or ordinarily resident in, a territory under comprehensive sanctions, or if you are a designated party under any sanctions list, and you may not use it in breach of applicable export-control or sanctions law (Terms of Service, sections 6 and 27).
3. How the rules are enforced
- Every prompt and answer is screened automatically. A refused request is declined with a short explanation and costs no credits.
- Flagged requests may be reviewed by authorised Legalyard staff.
- Repeated or serious breaches lead to account suspension, and may lead to permanent termination and forfeiture of any paid-plan fees. Consequential actions involve human review.
- We may preserve evidence and report violations to law-enforcement authorities where the law requires or permits it.
4. Reporting abuse
- To report content or behaviour that breaks this policy, email abuse@email.legalyard.com.
- If you believe the Service has been used to infringe your copyright or other rights, email legal@email.legalyard.com with the material concerned, where it appears, and your contact details.
- To report a security vulnerability, email security@legalyard.com or use legalyard.com/security/disclosure.
